Barramundi fishing charters

Barramundi Fishing Charters, based out of Darwin, offers fishing trips for individuals and families in the Northern Territory. The tour covers fresh water billabongs, apart from some tidal rivers in the Northern Territory.

The fishing charter also arranges for the accommodation, transfers, light, refreshments, meals, and tackle as part of the tour. Fishing enthusiasts can come across fishes like Sport fish or the Barramundi, Saratoga, Treadfin salmon, and Mangrove Jacks.

The Barramundi fishing charters are available for tours between March to May and mid-May and October. The trips range from 1 day, 3 days to even 8 day trips. The pick-up timing in the morning from the accommodation is at 5.00 am, and the tour begins at 7.30 a.m. The evening drop-off to the accommodation is around 5.00 pm.

A five metre boat can accommodate groups of up to three people. A guide during the tour provides expert advice on fishing spots and techniques to individuals.  The boat travels through the Daly, Mary or Adelaide River systems during the tour, ‘The Reel Screamin Barra Fishing Experience.’

During extended fishing tours, accommodation is provided at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge, located just 20 minutes away from the Mary River. The hotel  has motel style rooms, along with air-conditioning. The facilities at the hotel include a bar/ bistro and pool. The fish caught during the day will be cooked as part of the evening meal at the lodge.

A maximum of six people are part of a single tour. The small number ensures comfort for the individuals and gives learning space to the beginners. The experienced anglers have enough space to enjoy casting and jig trolling at leisure.
